6 Ways to Get Kids Hooked on Fishing
Lifelong friends and pro fishing partners Darren Jacko and Steve Voros are the brains behind Edu-Cast, a unique tournament series designed to get youth interested in fishing. Over the past seven years, the Ontario duo has taken more than 7,500 high school kids fishing, making them experts in getting young people hooked on the sport.
WODSS Competes at 11th Annual Educast
On Friday, May 27, 2016 sixteen Waterloo Oxford students competed at the 11th Annual Educast Fishing Championship. This event is hosted by East Elgin Secondary School and takes place at the Pleasant Valley Trout Farm in Aylmer. This two day event draws over 1000 students from all across Ontario The target species is Pike, Bass and Rainbow Trout. Students catch as many fish as possible with the top three weights counting towards their total weigh in.
